Ben
Last night was awsome, Ben Folds, the Carling Academy Sheffield.
We managed to get right to the front as we got there before the doors opened.
The support act was some dude called Corn-mo.
A pretty crazy guy who seemed to me like an accordian playing mix of Meat loaf and Rich Fuller (Bob Fossil). He was certainly entertaining, playing a mixture of queen, circus music, comedy sea shanties and ending with glam rock. oh he also played to piano. I could so imagine him crimping.
Then came on Ben.
He was wicked, although seemed a bit grumpy, aparently the shit piano had pissed him off. But he played all my faves, it was almost as if he had been raiding my Ipods top 25 playlist. Zak and Sara was amazing, Landed and jesusland were ace and he even played Fred Jones part 2. I dont think i stopped smiling and dancing throughout the whole gig. The Carling Academy also surprised us as a venue, being better than we expected. The only thing that annoyed me was the bloke standing next to me who looked a bit like the Hoff who kept mirroring my hand movements, I dont know why but he was just grating on my nerves.
But all in all an awsome night.

Awesome! When I saw Ben with Pete the warm-up was Chris TT, who was more like a comedy act than a musician. Really weird.

Yeah Corn-mo was really weird but in the coolest way possible, a very funny man but in a vacant way which I guess only made it funnier, the acordian just adding more novelty value.
